Leslie attended the University of Utah College of Law, where she was a staff member and an Articles Editor for the Journal of Contemporary Law and Policy and for the Journal of Energy Law and Policy. She authored "Kolender v. Lawson: Fourth and Inches on 4th Amendment Issues and Supreme Court Punts," JCL, Vol. 10 and "Silkwood v. Kerr-McGee Corp.: Unprecedented Fallout," JELP, Vol. 6, No. 1. While in law school, she student-taught an ethics class, served an internship at Utah's Legal Aid Society, and was a judicial intern for the Honorable David Dee, Third Judicial District Court, Utah. She graduated from law school as a William H. Leary Scholar honors.

Leslie was admitted to the Utah State Bar and the United States District Court, District of Utah, in 1986. She is currently a member of the Utah State Bar's Real Estate and Litigation sections Women Lawyers of Utah, and the Salt Lake County Bar. She has served as a panelist with judges and other attorneys in the Litigation Section's annual Professionalism Seminar. She has served as a pro tem judge in small claims court for a number of years and has lecutured on the nuts and bolts of the landlord/tenant law in Utah. Leslie admits to being an expert on the application of the ancient doctrine of the "Rule Against Perpetuities" to modern commercial transactions in the State of Utah. Coulter & Smith v. Russell, 966 P.2d 852 (Utah 1998) and boasts of being the first attorney to argue in the new Scott M. Matheson Courthouse.

As a shareholder attorney with Cohne, Rappaport & Segal, P.C., Leslie specializes in real estate and commercial litigation. She has handled cases on both the trial and appellate levels, and her experience has been in the state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.

Leslie enjoys skiing, traveling and camping with her family.
